Kenya Johnson – EP Charity Launch Event

Kenya Johnson, a local 18 year old singer songwriter from Winchester is collaborating with producer Ben Metson to produce her debut EP and launch his company BAMBAM Productions. Kenya, who is studying an extended diploma in music and music technology at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Southampton, was destined for success when she started writing at 11 years

My inspirations range from Amy Winehouse to Banks and Chet Faker.” Having won the regional finals of the Future Music songwriters competition, she performed at the finals in London on the 22nd January 2017, where she won a place to be a part of Future Music’s
showcase. Aiming to follow in the footsteps of Birdie, who won the competition back in 2008, Kenya is currently collaborating with local music technology student, Ben Metson, 20 also from Winchester, who is in his final year at University of West London doing a BA(Hons) Music
