Empathy Test is an independent, self-managed and produced London electronic pop duo consisting of childhood friends Isaac Howlett (vocals) and Adam Relf (production). Inspired by ’80s Sci-Fi soundtracks, ’90s guitar bands and underground UK dance music, the pair have an uncanny ability to write catchy pop tunes with intelligent, emotional lyrics and marry them to stunning, cinematic soundscapes you can lose yourself in.
Clash described their music as “gorgeous, sumptuous futurepop”, while Line of Best Fit said it “wouldn’t sound out of place snaking into the soundtrack of Netflix’s Stranger Things”. Empathy Test performs live with the help of Christina Lopez on drums and Samuel Winter-Quick on keys. Catch their headline show on 15th September, 2018 at The Railway Inn, Winchester, where they’ll play all the best tunes from their twin debut albums, Losing Touch (Remastered) and Safe From Harm, and hopefully some new ones too!
