Friends from school, alt rockers Flashfires began making waves in and around the London music scene, playing shows with established acts like The Hoosiers, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Ash, The Rifles, FLYTE, The Subways & JUDAS.
They received radio airplay on both of the UK’s biggest stations, BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2, for their songs Manshark and Shy.
Their single Shy lead Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley to comment ‘Much promise me thinks’, attracting attention from Linda Serk who invited them to an interview on BBC Introducing.
Multiple trips to Sacramento, California at J Street Recorders Studio has taught them new songwriting skills and saw them record over two albums worth of songs.
Legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page previously accepted an invitation to watch Flashfires at London’s Water Rats, later offering advice to the band giving them that spark needed to pursue their future.
