Plus Support from:

Skaraman

Established in 2010, Skaraman originated as a 3 piece band writing their own brand of Ska and Reggae music, referred to adoringly as “Street-Ska”. As their following grew, so did their line-up, with additional members influencing to the movement and timbre of the band.

Supporting the likes of Neville Staple, The Blow Monkeys, [SPUNGE] and the Skints, Skaraman used this momentum to record their debut EP “Arrogance and Sleaze”. As time moved on, so did some members, leaving the final stages of recording to frontman Mike (Guitar and Vocals).

Mike moved forward as Skaraman, gigging the local scene as a solo act whilst maintaining a good following. Trying to find a new identity, Mike began to introduce an interesting array of popular covers to his set.

In Autumn 2015, Mike welcomed Upright Bassist James Ryan to Skaraman for a refreshing new feel to the band. The reinvented duo started playing at local open mic nights, to eventually running their own events.

Skaraman continue to write politically induced songs encompassing catchy music with thought provoking lyrics with plans to record a fresh EP in the new year. Having already played Romsey Beggars Fair, Victorious Festival, supported The Undercover Hippy and with a slot with Tankus the Henge later in the year, Skaraman proceed with excitement to see what the future will bring.
