The Ba : Nick Jacobs, co-founder of seminal Bristol indie-rockers The Blue Aeroplanes, performing again with his first band The Ba. Originally active from 1976 to 1978, The Ba is simultaneously a band from another time and a band very much of now. None of the members had played a note of music together since 1978, until a chance meeting in February 2017. A string of euphoric gigs around London and the South-East followed – one of which at The Dublin Castle, Camden, was described by visiting DJ Jerry Bennett of KSER Seattle as “One of the best live shows I’ve seen in years”
The Architects of Frome : Born out of desolation the Architects of Frome deliver a combination of thought provoking film and unrealistic Sound Scenery.
Slug Pellets : Formed in homage to the experimental Winchester gigs of Throbbing Gristle, Slug Pellets combine the home-made cardboard synth of David Luff with the found sound and very friendly fossil dissolves of Sebastiane Hegarty. Although the intention is homage, a distinct lack of talent and organisational ability promises insult and affront. The Arts Throbs event at The Railway on March 7th 2020 could be the first and last chance to experience the disappointment, that is Slug Pellets before the Metaldehyde kicks in and the mission is terminated.
