Music is full of tradition. Whether it’s an inspiring tune or a commitment to write music from the heart, the members of ‘Call of Sirens’ have embraced these traditions while establishing a few of their own over the years working in a variety of creative projects.

‘Call of Sirens’ incorporate elements of their collective inspirations, experiences and styles into something unique in sound, engaging in theme and special in aesthetic.

The band’s sound draws from a wide variety of sources, including alternative rock acts like flyleaf, paramore, The Pretty Reckless, HALESTORM and Evanescence, more progressive bands like Rush and Tool, and also more mainstream acts such as Wolf Alice and Royal Blood.

Sabres are Sam Cutbush and Dominic Taylor — Portsmouth natives making noise of oceanic proportions with just drums and bass guitar, eschewing comparisons to Pompey’s respective Royal Blood. Drawing influence from grunge, punk, stoner and desert rock, Sabres do not pigeonhole easily, and have quickly developed a disruptive sound and character since their founding in late 2021.
