Portsmouth post-punks Hallan share fiery new effort ‘Money Talks’ – out September 8th via Nice Swan Records (English Teacher, Sports Team, Courting).

Detailing their latest track, the band explained: “Me and my father often stay up late and watch the channels far along the TV guide, the ones no one gets to. Take a look and you’ll find a mesmerising facade streaming right to your television screen. Business men frantically explode with emotion, demonstrating their ability to bring sight to the blind, shame to your heart and your hard earned money to their wallet. Firearms for Christ and a new family car. You could have it all and more, all it takes is the delivery of your bank details into the preacher man’s inbox. After all it’s what the Holy Spirit told her. “Sow your seed and watch what God does””.

The group’s frenetic musings on the mundanity of everyday life has attracted plenty of interest, with key tastemaker backing from the likes of Dork, Loud & Quiet, The Line Of Best Fit, CRACK Magazine, The Forty-Five and Rough Trade, as well as BBC 6 Music playlist exposure following integral support from Steve Lamacq, and early BBC Radio 1approval (Kerrie Cosh).

Having already notched up several impressive support slots with acts including Sports Team, Porridge Radio, Pom Poko, and Tom Robinson at personal request, as well as a full UK headline run in autumn 2021 – Hallan brought their thrilling live show to the stage through the summer across the UK and Europe, with further festival dates lined up this autumn.

Hallan’s ‘Money Talks’ is out September 8th via Nice Swan Records. It was produced by Andy Savours – acclaimed forhis work with Arctic Monkeys, PJ Harvey, My Bloody Valentine, Black Country, New Road and Sorry. ♫♪♪
