London-based songwriter and performer Lucy Wroe has become known for her captivating, jazz-infused vocal tones on the indie scene. Now, going back to her Winchester roots, she presents her first ever headline show promising new material left, right and centre – along with a few classics. With a sound inspired by Jeff Buckley and Lianne La Havas, catchy pop melodies collide with RnB grooves to transport you into space before a shift into indie rock brings you firmly back down to Earth. After gracing the halls of notable London venues The Fiddler’s Elbow, The Camden Assembly and Pizza Express Live, Lucy discovered her ability to silence a room, with critics recognising her ‘addictive tone’ and ‘delicate touch’. At the release of her debut EP in 2020, the unique combination of genres captured the hearts of many, landing several BBC Radio Solent plays and Lucy’s first radio interview on Radio Brockley’s Alpha Sessions. The past year of writing has launched the creation of new and exciting music that challenges and redefines modern pop, and ‘gently swims into the sonic landscape’… ♪♪♪♪
