Ventenner is an alternative rock hybrid blending metal, atmospheric electronics and doomy riffs.

Formed in London, Ventenner is an alternative rock hybrid blending metal, atmospheric electronics and doomy riffs. Although starting as a solo project in the industrial scene, Ventenner has grown and evolved to occupy a genre all of their own.

Their debut album ‘This Is The Reason’ was released in 2012. A blend of industrial rock and electronica, it paved the way for Ventenner’s entry into the London scene, gaining a following and opening for industrial bands from around the world. 2014’s ‘Distorture’ showed Ventenner exploring a much darker sound. A sprawling, immersive and much darker album, it was the foot in the door to the industry that Ventenner aimed for, landing larger shows, label interest and raising their profile in the scene.

Their latest album, ‘Invidia’, released in 2017 has shown to be their strongest offering yet. This new record presents a sound much heavier and more visceral. Influenced by their time spent on the live scene for the last two years, ‘Invidia’ is the bands most critically acclaimed album yet. Hailed as Ventenner’s reclaiming of industrial rock for the UK and serious contender for breaking in to the mainstream scene.

As a band, Ventenner cover a broad spectrum, both in their sound and their work. A solid and varied discography, intense live shows and a collection of work including remixes, tv and film and collaborations.

Cold in Berlin

Formed in London in 2010, Cold in Berlin underpin dark post-punk with murky doom metal.

Their self-released debut album Give Me Walls was an Artrocker magazine album of the year, which described the band as “Translators for our imploding society”, while Loud and Quiet and Q couldn’t decide whether vocalist Maya was the new Patti Smith or Siouxsie Sioux.  As the bands’ sound became heavier and darker, Universal Records subsidiary Candlelight came knocking and released albums two and three – And Yet (2013) and The Comfort of Loss and Dust (2015) – to critical acclaim from from influential publications including Metal Hammer, Rock Sound Mojo and Clash.

Stalwarts of the alternative live scene, the band has played throughout Europe, graced major festival stages and recently appeared in the Terror and Wonder exhibition at the British Library.

After a reclusive year, the band is preparing to return in 2019 with their most heavy, dark and ambitious effort to date.
